AFFIRMATION PROGRAMMING

Affirmation programming is powerful... POWERFUL!
It will take exactly ninety-nine days, but what is ninety-nine days, just over three months, compared to the happiness you will experience in the rest of your life. Follow this program for the next ninety-nine days... and you will be different... you will be changed!

491. THE JUST ONCE FORMULA OF THE 9/99 PLAN. This technique is so powerful that its nine applications need be done only once! The act of performing each of the nine applications, only once, will prove and confirm the incredible force of your subconscious mind. You will see such intense results, that you will be tempted to act upon the individual applications more repetitiously. It is not necessary. Of course, it could do no harm to dwell at length upon each of the affirmations, but again, it is truly not necessary. Your subconscious mind will react dynamically to the JUST ONCE formula. The program is simple, and will produce amazing results by following the prescribed formula.

To obtain the richest reward from this program, you must live with each and every one of the affirmations for one whole day. You will do one and only one, every day, for a period of ninety-nine days.

First, copy the affirmation down on a 3 x 5 card (an index card} and carry it with you so that it is readily accessible throughout the day. At first, you will probably need to write the nine applications on the reverse side. After a few days, you will learn the nine applications by heart.

  1. The affirmation must be written... once.

  2. The affirmation must be visually confirmed... once.

  3. The affirmation must be spoken with calm authority... once.

  4. The affirmation must be meditated upon... once.

  5. The affirmation must be internally visualized... once.

  6. The affirmation must be shouted emotionally... once.

  7. The affirmation must be discussed with another... once.

  8. The affirmation must be acted upon... once.

  9. The affirmation and all of the applications must be reviewed upon retiring... once.

Example affirmation:

I HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE.

492. #1. By writing this down, you coordinate body action to a thought. You believe "that you can change," so strongly, that you are willing to apply physical action (writing) to your belief. By doing so, you have already begun to change. It is the simplest and easiest way to initiate change.

493. #2 Impels you to look in a mirror, make authoritative eye contact, and speak it once to your heart. By doing this, you are registering it upon your subconscious mind. By looking yourself in the eye, you are engaging your senses via a powerful nerve that connects directly with your mind. You combine will (thought) with optical sensation (the optic nerve). Seeing yourself acting upon this affirmation enables you to sense the beginning of your change.

494. #3 Orders you to speak the affirmation out loud, with assurance and with command, so that the sound of it might be heard by your conscious mind. Here you are combining movement (vocal chords) and sound (voice/ear). Hearing your own voice enables you to react to your belief in your ability to change.

495. #4 Reflects that you should find a quiet place to spend a few moments thinking upon the different aspects of the affirmation. The amount of time spent, is up to you. It is here that you will receive personal direction how you might best apply its rewards to your own life. Here, the action of meditation is strengthened by the fact that you are engaging in an action that is different than your normal activities, hence, change is already manifest in your life.
Prayer to your higher power may help you to better implement your change.

496. #5 Directs you to mentally visualize yourself physically acting upon the affirmation. Here, you would mentally play out your ability to act according to your affirmation. "Seeing" yourself changed, results in the ability to change. By visualizing some area of your life as already successfully changed, you will more capably believe your ability to change. Your imagination precedes your action. Remember...

"Anything you can imagine in your mind..."

497. #6 Expresses that you must attach emotion to your delivery of the phrase. You must feel it as you are ejecting it. You are applying force to the belief. By applying force through your verbal delivery, you are enacting change in the way you normally speak.

498. #7 Counsels you to speak to another person about your understanding of the affirmation. Here, you are tapping into another source of perspective. You are opening yourself up to receive change. The way that you normally approach and think about, or solve problems, will be subject to change when you submit yourself to some one else’s interpretation of the affirmation.

499. #8 Encourages you to find some way to physically act upon the affirmation. This will stir your imagination and cause you to physically participate in a conscious response to your subconscious programming. Here, your mind will be actively seeking a possibility for you to exercise change. The change can be as simple as walking a different route to work, or brushing your teeth before you shower or vis-a-vis. It isn’t so important, as to what you change, as much as it is important for you to exercise some kind of change. Here your subconscious is reassured that you do have change manifest in your life by the already existent change.

500. #9 reveals an opportunity for you to dwell upon the success of the day as you are falling asleep. It is a chance to review your applications and discover which of them you need to polish. It is here, at your point of entering the world of dreams, that you have an opportunity to think upon good things, upon success, upon personal achievement. By realizing you must end each day by thinking of your applications, you will be motivated to fill your dreaming thoughts with pleasing accomplishments.

INTENSIVE CARE
AUTOPROGRAMMING

NOTE: This section is included for those of you who sometimes feel beyond help. You’re doing so good and making great advancements, but then something triggers you into an emotional relapse. One day, you’re cheerful and loving and the next day, you’re withdrawn and emotionally unstable. Autoprogramming is an alternative support that has revealed tremendous healing potential, with few, if any, limitations.

501. Autoprogramming is a type of hypnosis... a self-hypnosis. For many of us, the topic of hypnosis has been controversial, and we were cautioned that anything resembling hypnosis was dark and mysterious... even evil. We were told that it was wrong to give control of our mind to someone else. For that reason, we avoided anything to do with hypnosis therapy.

Hypnosis has basically remained an unknown science. It's not like you can find a hypnotist on every corner, or for that matter, there aren't that many qualified or legitimate practitioners anywhere. If you did locate one, there is always the legitimate concern as to whether you could trust your mind to this individual. If you could not trust them, the session would not do you any real good.

We agree with the initial evaluation of caution in yielding your mind to someone else’s control. We have all heard the horror stories and seen the wild film dramatizations of the power of hypnosis and what an unscrupulous hypnotist might do with our minds ...or bodies.

502. SELF-CONTROL. An amazing realization came to us when we figured out, that in self-hypnosis, we were not actually giving our mind over to another person's control.

We would be giving our mind over to our own control!

We would command only what would be for our own personal advancement. We could harness the absolute power of the subconscious mind and command the subconscious to do anything we wanted. We’ve heard that hypnosis has been used to help people quit cigarettes and to control overeating. We have also heard that hypnosis had been used by psychotherapist for age regression, hoping to resolve the heart of the problem behind many patient’s abnormal fears. What if we could use it for more than that?
When we first noticed an audiocassette on self-hypnosis in the self-help section at our local bookstore, we wondered what all might be done with it.

When we realized that we could make our own programming tape, of our own voice, speaking directly to our own subconscious, and that we would remain totally in our own control at all times, we knew it was a resource that bore investigation.

503. UNFOUNDED FEARS. Upon further study, and with newly acquired understanding of the principles governing the subconscious, we discovered that all of our fears had been unfounded. The warnings and cautions were given through ignorance regarding an unknown science about unscrupulous controllers. There is no more reason to remain in the dark. There are plenty of legitimate source books for the reprogramming of your own mind.

504. INITIATIVE. There is especially no more reason to remain in bondage to our weaknesses, our inadequacies, or failures. We can take the initiative to free ourselves from the dependency of people and substances. We can finally reclaim the unbridled abandon of our inner psyche and negative ego.

NOTE: After reading about the subject of hypnosis and studying other sources, we were excited to begin. Included here, is the complete story of our quest into healing through self-hypnosis (hereafter referred to as autoprogramming) and the results that it has yielded. We also include an actual program that we have used. As you will see, the potential power of autoprogramming suggestion is phenomenal.

505. WILL. First, in hypnosis, the hypnotist cannot violate the will of the subject. For some of us, who went astray as children, this may have yielded some concern. For those of us who had no real moral character, there would not have been much that would violate our will... hence a legitimate concern about "will violation." A hypnotist would never be able to command an innocent young girl to violate her own moral principles. The subject would wake up from the emotional trauma involved in the attempted "will violation."

506. MAGIC, RITUAL, OR TASK? Autoprogramming is not some kind of magical ritual that automatically overpowers our own will. You must be consciously working on the habit you wish to change, and then autoprogramming becomes an invaluable tool in assisting you to address those changes.

507. SELF-CONTROL. What we must remember here, is: We are not giving control of our mind to anyone but ourself. We are the judge of what we enter onto our program. We, alone, determine what we say to ourselves.

508. ALREADY HYPNOTIZED? You are more easily hypnotized than you might imagine. In fact, you have already been secretly hypnotized!

How?

Most people are easily manipulated into a trancelike state when they watch TV for any length of time. Commercial advertising has invested millions into researching and utilizing subliminal persuasion and the art of the rapidly changing imagery and colors that pulsate in a sequenced manner conducive to the support of the alpha state. We have been spending "programming" dollars for most of our lives. The film and advertising media has the vehicle to lull the consumer conscious into a trance and then shape the subconscious mind into an exaggerated state of receptivity and consumption.

509. The four programming principles:

  1. Relaxation into "alpha/theta" state.

  2. Focus of attention.

  3. Suggestion or commands.

  4. Repetition of cycle.

510. INDUCTION. It’s easy to see how the advertising industry could utilize the medium of television to induce its audience to control buying behavior.

We relax (#1) in front of the tube, and focus (#2) all of our attention on the "light," and then we willingly open our minds up to receive (#3). Next, we are shown the same commercial over and over and over (#4), so as to engrave the image into our subconscious, thus becoming a part of our internalized nervous system.

Is it no wonder that we are living, buying, eating, perspiring, and loving according to the standards of accepted behavior, which unfortunately are regulated by self-centered self-gratifying promotional agencies?

Insidious potential? It is downright scary!

511. BY DESIGN. The quick movement and flashes of color and light are designed to draw our attention. We cannot stay in a room where a TV is on, and not be drawn to look upon its wonder and power. It commands us to look... to look back and not look away... to focus... to relax... to receive.... We have allowed an outside force to effectively control our responses.

We have allowed ourselves to become externally-directed instead of self-directed.

512. There is an alternative. We can take back the area of our subconscious that has been programmed to convince us that a new car and a name-brand wardrobe will give us personal fulfillment. If we think intelligently for a moment, we know that the new car and clothes cannot offer lasting joy. They fade quickly.

We can nullify our conditioned responses to media manipulation. We can reprogram our marred behavior. We can move beyond conditioning into our own inner realities of who and what we really are, and who and what we want to become.

We can take control, by utilizing positive programming to overwrite the negative commands.

513. INHERITED HABITUATION. Our definition of the phrase, "inherited habituation," is: the continued support of an inherited habit. It is the continuation of a family trait, or a family habit; such as, escapist tendencies to avoid reality.

Webster’s definition of the word "Habit," is: Habitual characteristic and condition of the mind or body; an act that is acquired and becomes automatic.

514. CONDITIONED. It is interesting to note the use of the word "condition." This word suggested a "learned response" to an action.

We have learned our habits. They are acquired. We are not born with them. Immediately, some of you will feel argumentative to support the "inherited gene" theory of alcoholism. There have been just as many studies disproving "inherited gene" theory, as there have been studies that support the theory.

Even with the propensity for alcoholism, possibly inherited into our system, a child is not an alcoholic by nature. The child is taught, "conditioned" to yield to escapist behavior. As he gets older, he then simply gives into the nature that has possessed his family orientation. "Your grandfather was an alcoholic, your father was an alcoholic, so you will be an alcoholic...."

WRONG!


You do not have to become an alcoholic, even if you fear you may have inherited some isolated gene of alcoholism. You may have a great tendency to manifest some habitual nature, but you have a greater tendency to reflect the conditioning of your family morals, values, and childhood programming. Fortunately, you can learn how to beat childhood programming.

515. EXTERNALLY DIRECTED. We inadvertently allowed ourselves to become externally directed. It was a mistake. Once we allowed ourselves to become externally influenced, we allowed our desires to override our logic. Most often, we were too young, or immature, to be so analytical. We know this to be true, because you are just now, at your present age of awareness, allowing yourself to be logical, intelligent, and "self-directed."

Previously, desire overrode your ability to evaluate objectively, and you, all too late, discovered an illogical choice had too quickly become a habit. Then we are forced into more harmful behavior. One habit interlaces with another. One bad habit leads to a worse habit. Overeating can lower our effectiveness to reject other emotional stimulants, such as, tobacco or alcohol. Alcohol abuse can alter our tolerance or acceptance of marijuana, which in turn, can weaken our rejection of stimulants and cocaine....

516. A MATTER OF PROGRAMMING. Once we realize that our habits are not our fault, that it was a matter of programming, we are in a position to accept or reject intelligent programming. Do we really want to be free?

517. SICK! SICK! SICK! Are you sick and tire of being sick and tired? Are you tired of failing, returning to your vices, quitting smoking only to begin overeating, or quitting marijuana only to yield to excessive drinking. Are you tired of not being able to live up to your principles? If Christian, are you tired of not being able to live... the example?

Is our "moral" integrity against autoprogramming more important then the "negatives" that possess and destroy our bodies, minds, and spirits?

If you have determined that you want to free yourself from all of it... all of the negatives, all of the vices, all of the addictions, all of the disorders... then we are ready to move on.

518. Autoprogramming is a type of hypnosis, a self-hypnosis. It is where we retake control of our own minds. We become self-directed instead of externally-directed. We become the hypnotist, so there is no danger in yielding our conscious over to an alien control. We yield our subconscious mind over to our own control.

In fact, when we hear our own voice, speaking the desires of our own heart, we are able to trust our own voice so emphatically, that we can achieve more power over our subconscious than any outside source or hypnotist ever could.

Note: For the purpose of waylaying the fears of the uneducated. We will call self-hypnotism by its more socially acceptable title, Autoprogramming. We will call, what was once referred to as the hypnotist, as the programmer.

519. Scripting is the actual words, the story, that you will write down to record on your autoprogramming tape. We are going to write our own script for how we want to live.

520. THE MEDIUM. The method for administering autoprogramming is via a tape player. You will need a tape player that records.

You will also be utilizing your script every day, so you will need your own personal player for playback. If you intend to sleep with another person, who may not wish to listen to your programming, you will need headphones.

521. ADDRESSING your script. You are the only one who can determine what problems you need to address. It is possible to address multiple habits, so you must prioritize your script to focus on your greatest needs.

522. SERIOUS HABITS require more focussed scripting. You can write your script to address several habits, or you may wish to temporarily focus on one main habit. Your decision will depend solely on your own determination as to how quickly you want to be free from a particular habit.

523. TIME. You must determine how long of a script you will use. Although we feel that "the longer... the more often... the better..." is the best policy, there are many alternatives.

524. Daytime programming tapes will be limited to your ability to schedule the programming session into your daily routine. Getting up an hour early to program an hour long tape will more than justify any temporary discomfort due to a fear of the loss of sleep. Maybe you feel you can only schedule twenty minutes into your routine.

Your program scheduling will be directly proportionate to your desperation!!!

525. NIGHTTIME programming is an opportunity to address a wider range of problems. You may facilitate a longer script, thus you will need a longer tape to record on. It is possible to utilize continuous play tapes, where you can record two tapes back to back and have them consecutively play.

Since the hypnotic state is a sleep state, or better known to professionals, as your alpha/theta state, you will not be missing any rest by listening to lengthy sessions. Although the alpha/theta state is not the deeper state of "Delta," the deep-sleep state, it is similar to a lighter state of sleep.

By using modern equipment, it is possible to play two 1-hour cassettes, back to back, combined with an auto-reverse function, to obtain a total program of four hours.

By using the right phrases within the program, you can actually awaken more refreshed and energized then you would have originally obtained from the "neutral" sleep state.

526. DAYTIME vs. NIGHTTIME programming. We feel that although longer versions of nighttime programming are very healthy, they are not as substantially rewarding as entering into a programming state when you are fully awake, not expecting a scheduled sleep state.

527. MOST SUSCEPTIBLE. Nighttime programming is initiated when you have retired to go to sleep. Although your subconscious mind is more than powerful enough to receive the programming, the state of consciousness is more susceptible when you are willing to enter your alpha state outside of your normal sleep cycle. Outside the sleep cycle, you are wide awake, yet willingly entering a short "alpha" cycle. It is a form of meditation that is most beneficial.

528. Combination programming is of course, using a night application in combination with a daytime meditational program. Naturally, the more repetition, the more the result.

529. SUBLIMINAL. If you are seriously hurting, you may wish to construct your own subliminal programming. It is possible to obtain a used reel to reel tape recorder (for around $300.00+) that will enable you to record on four separate tracks. There are even 4-track cassette systems for around $400.00+.

You can record your favorite music on to two of the channels, obtaining the "stereo" effect, while recording low-level subliminal messages onto the other two tracks. If a person used a long-playing reel to reel system and recorded on slow speed, it would be possible to make a tape that was as long as 12-hours, with thousands of supportive positive messages recorded into the program.

The power of the subconscious mind is more than capable of receiving messages that are not audible in the normal hearing range. You could play this self-recorded programming in your office without disturbing your customers or associates. Of course, there is the possibility that other people would begin responding to your own personal programming, so it might be wise to seriously consider what you will put on the tape. It is probably more acceptable to utilize this particular application in a private office, or at home.

Note: There are no known limits to the subconscious mind. If you used an 8-hour "sleep tape," combined with a 1- hour "meditation tape," combined with a day-long "subliminal tape," you will be able to master any habitual difficulty.

530. AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT. The self-help areas are unlimited. You can tackle any area you wish to improve in. Listed here, are just a few of the areas that many thousands of people have conquered through autosuggestion.

Addiction, Alcoholism, Anger, Belief systems, Drinking excessively, Fear of success, Frigidity, Inabilities, Inner-child work, Insomnia, Languages, Love, Memory retention, Negative thinking, Overeating, Personal relationships, Phobias, Procrastination, Remembrance, Self-love, Self-pity, Sensuality, Sexuality, Shyness, Sin and or vices, Spirituality, Time management, Work habits.

531. DYNAMIC TRANSITIONS are often needed to free ourselves from the chains that would bind us.

We have all heard the familiar story of Lewis Carol’s A CHRISTMAS CAROL. The main character, Scrooge, was forced to have a major life transition. Often, that is what we ourselves need. We need to free ourselves from our addictions, our defeatist thinking, and even our negative associations, and it all needs to be done right now!

This kind of transformation is nothing short of miraculous. For many, success comes in short measured steps proceeding toward a lifelong focus. For others, it is... do-or-die!

No matter your persuasion, your transformation must be a singular courageous battle that is fought and won on a battlefield of the subconscious mind. Only you can determine your inner need. Only you can determine your position of necessity. If you wish to accomplish small tasks steadily built upon each other to achieve a gradual new awareness, then go for it. If you wish to achieve one monumental heroic transformation, then go for it. It is solely up to you.

You can accomplish anything you set your mind upon.




532. TASKING is tackling and focussing on one problem at a time. There are many who believe that this is the only sure way to quickly beat a problem. It stands to reason, that if you were using a 1-hour program that focussed solely on overeating, and you listened to it every day, you would overcome overeating more quickly from such a focussed assault, than say, if you included a five minute section on overeating within a program that addressed several areas of improvement. Again, this is a matter of personal choice.

533. MULTITASKING is combining several areas of improvement into one program.

Note: If you know that you are ready to make lifelong commitments to change, multitasking will help you to tackle several areas for improvement at one time; whereas, if you are needing to stop some vice now, immediately, you will wish to focus on the singular task. The exampled program is an example of multitasking.

534. PREPARATION for programming.

  1. Eliminate all outside chance of interference.

  2. Communicate intentions to others who might interfere.

  3. Put a note on your door... "Do not disturb... in meditation."

  4. Explain to significant others, what your intentions are, so they will be supportive, and not feel you are "weirding out."

  5. Take the phone off of the hook.

  6. Find a place where you can feel momentarily secluded.

  7. You may wish to use wax or cotton inserts in your ears, to filter out outside interference, but that will still enable you to hear your programming.

  8. It is important to relax, so it is critical that your body can enter into a position that will enable it to remain motionless for 1-hour.

  9. Spend a few moments getting in position. Find where you are most comfortable before you begin.

  10. Focus your attention into a purposeful calming attitude. You are initiating this undertaking with extreme prejudice. Get serious!

  11. Breath slowly and deeply. After a few controlled breathing moments, you are ready to begin.

WARNING!

We apologize for the age that we are living in, that makes it necessary to include this page. Autosuggestion Scripting is a powerful technique and it can change your life. This next section is included simply as an "example" of the programming/autosuggestion the author used to free himself from his overwhelming negative habits. It is not written for you personally. If anyone intends to utilize this style of programming, they must write their own scripts. What is important, and works for the author, may not work for you. If you choose to utilize this technique... you must write your own script.

It is solely up to you, whether you utilize this type of programming. What you choose to speak into existence, is totally within your own power. Its results lie within your own realm of control. The results of this style of programming are dependent upon...

  1. a personal commitment and determination to change,
  2. coupled with your conscious will focussed upon change,
  3. supported with actions that institute change.

The author wishes to warn you that you are solely responsible for what you place in your subconscious mind. We warn you to be careful as to what you say and how you say it. We encourage you to research other materials covering autosuggestion and hypnosis. If you choose to write a script, enlist the help of a professional hypnosis practitioner, or even a friend, who will proof your material before you place it in your mind.

STAGE 1: CALMING.

535. I speak calmly, evenly, and with confidence. My subconscious mind can differentiate between what I do and don’t believe. If I say the words with confidence, my subconscious will accept them with confidence.

As soon as you are ready, you can close your eyes.

And if you take a deep breath... you can feel yourself begin to relax.

536. The bold words are said slower with a slight slowing downward insinuation through the delivery and tonality of the word...

This naturally causes me to speak slower, and insinuates a sense of slowing and downward motion that helps my mind to relax.

As you feel yourself relaxing, slow your breathing.

Feel your breath pass slowly out your throat... your power center.

537. External reassurance of authority and confirmation. Here, I am establishing who is in command. It is my voice.

You can do anything you want to do. You don’t even have to listen to my voice. Your subconscious mind can do anything it wants to do, because your conscious mind isn’t going to do anything of importance here. You don’t have to listen to me, because your powerful subconscious mind hears with new awareness and responds all by itself.

538. Affirmations will be utilized throughout, just like the conscious mirroring affirmations used when we look into a mirror and tell ourselves the positive affirmations that we need to hear. In autoprogramming we get the affirmations to a deeper awareness level.

You are learning to achieve a perfect meditational state. You relax deeply and peacefully. Perhaps you may even believe that you have gone to sleep. That does not matter. You do not have to concern yourself with that. Your powerful subconscious mind hears every word.

539. Reassurance. I am confirming that I recognize the subconscious absolute power.

This is a learning and growing meditational experience. Your inner mind is totally aware. You can hear what you need to respond to... in just the right way.

Personal exterior awareness.

Your subconscious mind has total awareness. You can respond to any emergency, because your subconscious mind is in tune with the universe.

STAGE 2: VISUALIZATION.

540. Visualization techniques enable the mind to become creatively active. It is a combination of combining vivid imagery with a restful beautiful memory. The memory can be anything or anyplace out of my past, that I enjoyed or found relaxing. The more personal the imagery, the more powerful the effect. My subconscious will accept even my dreams as reality. It will accept my programming as a reality.

Let’s begin by comparing your mind to a pond. You can see this image clearly with your eyes closed. It’s the pond at the end of the lane on your farm where you grew up. Your creative mind can easily see the image.

541. Command and assurance. I speak with quiet confident authority. I avoid words like can’t, should, & not.

Your voice is like the breeze whispering in the trees along the edge.

NOTE: "Breeze whispering in the trees" is enunciated in a whispering manner, calming me with a manner of speech. Whispering words....

The pond remains smooth... and calm... even though things go on beneath the surface.

Subliminal suggestion... that even though things are going on in the world around me, I can remain focussed. There may be much happening beneath a still surface. Even though the surface is calm and still, you know that there is life abounding beneath the surface.

542. My next visual imagery is designed to take me deeper still. The design of my image is my own creation. It is a special visual that is going to lead me to an even more special place.

Now, it is easy to dissolve this image and form another image. The new image is a staircase that leads downward. The walls are paneled with rich imported woods. There is a handrail made out of silver. You can only see a short way down the stairwell... into the darkness. You can not see what is at the bottom... not yet. The bottom of the stairs are in total darkness.

How our mind has operated in the past has remained in darkness, but I am fixing to illuminate its operation with new knowledge and self-awareness. I will move into the light.

You see yourself standing at the top of the stairs looking down. You are anxious to go explore whatever may be at the bottom of the stairs. You are going to explore what lies at the bottom of those stairs. You are going to tap into your subconscious power and harness it.

543. I have just become the director. I am now self-directed instead of externally-directed.

STAGE 3: PREPARATION

544. Now, I am focussing on the place that I am going to go, defining its location and what I will do when I get there.

You are going to travel into your subconscious mind. Because your mind is so sensitive to this style of programming, you can achieve this state easily and quickly. You enter this meditational state smoothly and deeply. We are going to go into your perfect learning state deep in the heart of your subconscious mind. You will remain conscious, in tune with the universe.

Personal exterior awareness.

As you take your first step, with anticipation of events to come, you purposely slow your descent down the stairs... so that you can enjoy the fullness of your expectations. Step by step, you descend. You go deeper... and deeper. You pause for a moment and look ahead. There is a number twenty on the next step.

STAGE 4: APPROACH.

545. Numbering is important for descent and ascent into my meditational state. It builds anticipation of arrival.

546. It was here that I realized that I could combine two forms of self-help healing; autoprogramming and Inner Child work. By combining the two applications, I minister to my needs in a much more positive form. I could not only descend to a room, our subconscious room... it would be a room where I could go to meet my Inner Child, my inner director to my own self-worth.

There is a nineteen on the next one, but a grey still mist keeps you from seeing any further. Why are they numbered? Each of these last twenty steps are very special. They lead into your subconscious mind. They are a direct path to your spirit center. Every step you take... will take you deeper... and deeper... into the subconscious mind. They are numbered from twenty, nearest you, descending to the number one. As you physically descend the stairs, you will also mentally descend until you reach your spirit center. There you will find a very special room. It is the center of your being.... The room is your subconscious mind.

STAGE 5: DESCENT

Command.

Begin your descent now. Take that first step.

  • 20. Now another.
  • 19. Downward.
  • 18. Closer.
  • 17. Down.
  • 16. Slowly.
  • 15. Slower and very carefully. This is a reverent place that you are going.
  • 14. Down. A deep and sacred place.
  • 13. Down. It is such a special place that you slow your steps even more.
  • 12.
  • 11. You’re half way there. As you descend you sense, rather than see, a slight glow, a sense that there is light ahead.
  • 10.
  • 9. You are very close.
  • 8. There is more and more light with every step downward.
  • 7. Suggestion. There is a mist that keeps you from seeing the bottom. You enter the mist and it closes about you. You are no longer aware of the outside world. You leave the outer world behind you, but you can respond to any need that arises. You can return to a full conscious state if a need should arise.
  • 6. The mist swirls slowly... thickly... around your body, enveloping you. You move through it... continuing downward.
  • 5. The mist hangs heavily before you, shrouding what lies just ahead. It glows with the closeness of the light.
  • 4. Down... the light feels warm.
  • 3. Down... You are almost there. The light is inviting.
  • 2. Just one more step, and you will enter your room. Just one more step, and you will enter your subconscious mind.
  • 1. You step through the mist and the mist swirls and disappears. You are here!

STAGE 6: CYCLE 1

547. Visualization is, once more, very important. The details of the room must be complete. The interior of the room is personal and should reflect the beauty of my subconscious dream/fantasy "living room."

548. INNER CHILD CYCLE Look around you. It is the most beautiful room that you have ever seen in your entire life. The light you sensed on the stairs, comes from a massive Gothic fireplace. A fire burns warm and bright in the hearth. The fire is your energy center. Its light refracts off of the crystal chandelier. A luxurious Persian rug lies on the hardwood floor before the hearth.

WARNING! I will not do the Inner Child cycle, if I am not serious about revolutionary change AND if I do not understand the nature of the Inner Child, OR if I do not intend to make this style of programming a way of life. I skip this cycle and proceed to the next, until I have had a chance to understand more about Inner Child work. I can create less complex avenues for receiving.

Remember to include a hiding place, i.e. "the pillows." This gives my Inner Child a chance to observe my honorable intentions, while remaining safely hidden.

A mound of pillows lies in the center of the carpet. More pillows and cushions are laying casually about the room. Beautiful hardwood shelves line every wall. They are filled with countless books, scrolls, magazines, papers, tapes, and records. Statues and antiquities are placed where they may be appreciated. Beautiful paintings hang in special niches.

Suggestion for enjoyable recall.

Mysteriously... there are also toys lying about the room that pull at your memory. Although there is real and total peace here in this room, you sense that there is something that needs done. You walk over to one of the shelves and you examine its contents. The papers and records have no order. They are not alphabetized and are lacking any organization. As you look at the many different and varied pieces of information, you realize that all of the articles, every book, every article, every paper is all of the things that you have put into your mind in your entire life! You see papers with words on them that you forgot that you ever wrote. There, there are the records of the last conversations you had with deceased loved ones. You read them and weep with the joy of total remembrance.

549. Remembering is a post-programming suggestion.

Later, when you awaken, you will remember these conversations. You realize that this room is a treasure room of your entire life. You look at another paper. It is a record of some very negative thoughts that were forced upon you as a child. You look at it and recognize it for what it is... trash. The paper contains the negatives that caused you to have little self-worth. You turn and walk toward the fireplace. You will burn this trash. You reach forward, extending the papers toward the fire and... A small voice shouts "STOP!" You turn around, not expecting anyone else to be here, and there is a flurry of pillows. A small boy rises out of the midst of the mound of pillows on the rug. He looks just like you did when you were three. It is you... You realize that you have discovered your inner child.

550. Revelation enables my Inner Child to take the initiative.

You stand there and stare at your self as you were when you were a small boy. You sense that he is afraid. He is looking at the papers... they seem important to him.

I remember that the wounded part of my ego does not understand that the "garbage" is not important to me.

You lower your hand, the papers still clutched in your fingers. Your three year old inner child waits.... You move to the cushions and little Jimmy pulls some of the pillows up around himself... hiding. You are gentle. You reach out, extending your hand and the papers... and wait. He does not pull away, but he does not take the papers. You sense his hunger for love and attention. You drop the papers and reach out your hand and hold it there. Little Jimmy slowly reaches out and touches your hand. You take his hand and pull him close to you. He embraces you tightly and you are able to hold him and gently hug him. Both of you sink into that big fluffy mound of pillows and you give him the attention he has longed for. Little Jimmy craves love. You take a long time to just hold him.

I take time to develop my relationship with my Inner Child. This is a very personal and highly crucial time that is important in earning my child’s confidence and cooperation.

You tell him that you love him, and when he begins to cry... you cry too. The two of you cleanse your spirits and you are able to bond in the most special way. You look long and lovingly into each others eyes. He has waited a very long time for this kind of special attention. After a while you explain about the papers not being good, that it is negative junk, that other people gave him when he was too young to understand what damage it might do.

Reinforcement of conscious level work.

You look around the room and spot the new books and tapes you have been reading and listening to, You explain how these new books are going to change both of your lives and bring you real happiness and joy. Little Jimmy points at other books of a similar nature that lay dusty beside your new purchases. You had read them long ago. You explain to little Jimmy that it just took a while for you to find your way to this place. He goes over to the shelves and pulls the positive works off of the shelf.

Remembrance programming.

Everyone that he pulls and opens, causes the words to magically float up off of the page and total remembrance of all the positive forces you have ever experienced comes rushing miraculously into your mind. You have total recall of all the special works. You take a moment and explain why you need to throw away and burn this old stuff.

Cooperation... not violation.

Little Jimmy understands, now that you have come here and explained it all to him. He returns to the pillows and tentatively picks up the papers you had dropped. He reaches out and hands them to you with trusting eyes. You take them and then you take little Jimmy hand and together, you walk toward the fire. Together, you throw them into the fire. You see all of the old negatives burn up in flames. The flames sparkle and crackle bursting into different colors of flame, as the fire feeds on the burning negative energy. Little Jimmy loves it so much, that he runs over to another shelf and pulls down another stack of papers and brings them to you. These papers contain all the negatives that cause little Jimmy to feel insecure. You read some of the different negatives that happened in your childhood, and tears come to your eyes. You nod wisely and recognize the marvelous wondrous intelligence of this small child. He is wise beyond his years. Little Jimmy knows too well where all of the painful negatives are hidden. He looks at the papers and then at the fire. He has waited for so very long for you to come here and help him to get rid of all of the trash that had been ignorantly given to him. Now that you are giving him love, giving him positive things to place on the shelves instead of the negatives, he willingly parts with his past negative memories and bad affirmations. You spend many moments looking through records of anger, denial, pain, and fear. Every negative you encounter, you take to the fire and burn. In their place, you put positive statements, and truths, and love, and hugs, and kisses... and much much more. You replace everything with... love. You straighten all of the good books and begin the process of ordering your special room.

Pause for subconscious mind to function on this suggestion.

This place belongs to both of you now. Little Jimmy need never be alone. You are placing your mind in order, retraining your mind, giving it special new affirmations to replace the old negative ones. You have found your way here, and you will never forget it, or your inner child, ever again. Every positive influential book that you come across, you open, and the words miraculously float up off of the page and reenter your heart and mind. You work and play and share and grow close. You laugh sweet pure laughter, as you throw away paper after paper, old record after old record. You throw out hatred, fear, doubt, and hurt. You throw out insecurity, selfishness, and pain. All of these negatives sparkle, crackle, and rise up in smoke. The two of you work at this for a very long time....

Pause for about 10 seconds.

Every time little Jimmy exposes another negative ...you take it from him and throw it in the fire. Finally it is time to leave.

STAGE 7: PREPARATION FOR CYCLE 2

551. INNER CHILD COOPERATION and support.

You must return to the present, but before you do, you must do three very important things.

  • Number 1. You tell little Jimmy... “I love you.”
  • Number 2. You look deep into little Jimmy eyes and you promise him... that you will never leave him alone again that you will return to play and work with him every night.
  • Number 3. You take the time to explain to him what you both must do to have perfect peace and abundant wealth. You tell him now:

Little Jimmy... I came here to this room...
because I truly love you...
and I want to heal you.
This room is the most special place to me, in all the world. I have come here to program us with new and positive teachings. Listen to my words. These are words that I am speaking out of love. These words are powerful words, for these words are our hopes and dreams. These words are our future. These words are what you are truly made of... and not the old negatives that we found on the shelves. These words are true and therefore they have the power to become our total truth, our total reality... our only reality. We hear my own voice saying these truths, so that by hearing myself say them, they may burn themselves into each and every cell and fiber of our body and mind and spirit. They are now a part of you, and me... and will rule our conscious mind. Listen closely and receive new thoughts, new life, a new future... a future filled with love.

STAGE 8: CYCLE 2 PROGRAMMING

552. SUGGESTION PROGRAMMING

My mind is open and sensitive.

First, I must be willing...

I am willing to let go of my past.
I am willing to change.

...then I can release.

I release all tension.
I release all fear.
I release all anger.
I release all guilt.
I release all sadness.
I let go of all old limitations.

...then I can empower myself...

I bless myself and release myself to receive.

...with pronouncements...

I let go and I am at peace with myself.
I am at peace with the processes of life and I am safe.
...with assurance...

In the process of life where I am, all is perfect, whole, and complete.

Confirm my beliefs.

I believe in a power far greater than I am, that flows through me every moment of every day. I open myself to the wisdom within, knowing that there is only one Intelligence in this Universe. Out of this one Intelligence, comes all the answers, all the solutions, all the healings, all the new creations. I trust this Power and Intelligence, knowing that whatever I need to know is revealed to me, and whatever I need, freely comes to me, in the perfect time, space, and sequence. I have now tapped into the source of Perfect Power. All is well in my world... for I have received the knowledge.

553. Tackle Spiritual orientation first. All other programming hangs upon my spiritual center.

Spiritual Mini-cycle.

I forget those things which are behind, and reach forth unto those things which are before, and I press toward the mark for the prize of the High Calling.
I forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
I am now a servant of the Spirit, a servant of humanity.
I am a joyful explorer, a Pathfinder, a lover of life, a giver of happiness.
I have become strong and calm and will spread serenity wherever I go.
I have been blessed with Wisdom, which I will utilize in behalf of my fellow man.
I am now as wise as the serpent, but as harmless as the dove.
I love and share that love with the world.
I am a new creature and have learned my esoteric purpose.
I will reveal hope and prove the existence of justice.
I am so strong, that nothing can disturb my peace of mind.
I talk health, happiness, joy, and prosperity with all whom I meet.

Notice, finances are last, because I can not achieve my financial goals if my internal MINDSET is not in harmony with my personal goals.

568. Prosperity through Self-worth mini-cycle.
I deserve the very best.
I am worthy.
I deserve wealth and prosperity.
I am prosperous.
I always have money,
I have a large savings account.
I have insurance for myself and my children.
I have investments.
I think prosperous thoughts.
My mind naturally produces income and prosperity.
I charge the right price for my services.
My work is in demand.
Money is healthy.

I attract money, riches & wealth.

All that I attempt... prospers.
Everything that I do... succeeds.

STAGE 8: PREPARATION FOR ASCENT

569. Return cycle.
Now, it is time to return to higher consciousness.
Your conscious mind will remember all that you have accomplished here in this programming session.
Your subconscious mind will continually prompt your conscious mind with positive and perfect affirmations.
Your subconscious mind will continue to act upon your positive programming and all of these new teachings.
It is already acting upon this programming session in miraculous and Universally perfect ways.

570. Post-programming session.
In a little while, when you return, you will feel wonderful... loved.
You will remember your beautiful experiences in your special room and carry them with you throughout your day.
You will feel positive and secure the whole day long.

571. Numbering path for more controlled return.
I will count from one to twenty.
At the count of twenty, you will awaken, and feel totally refreshed and happy.
You will awaken with energy and vitality.
And now I count 1...

The ability to alter our state of consciousness, through using controlled sound frequencies and repetitive light pulses has been around since the early 40's. The first clinical model of a brain wave sequencer was fully developed by the late 50's. Easier natural child birth, and anesthesiology are just a couple of the medical applications that have been reported on by the medical journals. Brain wave sequencing has supported many different applications, and will continue to be on the cutting edge of mind research. Of late, this same type of sequencing is used in treating alcohol and drug addiction, treating learning disabilities, treating sleep disorders, and reducing stress.

It is a known fact that the brain emits electrical signals. There are four different brain electrical frequency patterns. Each level of consciousness emits a different signal, following a different frequency pattern.

The beta state, our waking conscious state, fluctuates between 14 and 16 cycles per minute, while the alpha state fluctuates between 8 and 13 cycles. The Theta state ranges from 4 to 8 cycles per minute, and the Delta state fluctuates between 0 to 4 cycles per minute. This type of information can be found in most any health oriented school text book.

When we are awake, we are in a beta state. The brain wave activity may look something like this, static.

When in the alpha state, the brain wave pattern becomes more gentle. This state of consciousness frequency would look something more like this....

By matching this electrical wave pattern, the computer simulates an alpha state that enables you to be in a receptive state of consciousness, hence, your pattern is more easily matched and programmable.

The authors became interested in this type of brain activity computer, when they realized that they could bypass the static activity that keeps us from relaxing, and directly induce the alpha state. There would be no more wondering if they were truly absorbing the program, or if they had just fallen asleep.

The particular system, that the authors purchased, also enables you to induce a Theta state that is associated with dreaming. The authors interest in dreaming was vastly rewarded by the extremely lucid dream state of consciousness that the computer simulated. The Theta wave state of the brain might look something like this....

Finally, the computer can also generate the Delta electrical frequency wave which is associated with the deepest levels of sleep and/or meditation. One hour of this is very rewarding, especially during a sleepless night. A Delta wave looks something like this....

A sequencer matches, or simulates, the electrical frequency impulse, or the brain wave cycles, allowing the mind to easily transition through the four different corresponding states of consciousness. Any of the four states of consciousness can be induced by matching the electrical frequency impulses.

The computer utilizes several different preset programs, or sequences, that lead the mind into the three lower frequency cycles, and then simulates the 14 to 16 cycle frequency to return us to the waking conscious state. The user has several options, by utilizing several different preset programs, coupled to several time variations.

  • A low to mid-alpha state can be induced for a quick charge of energy.
  • A low alpha to high-theta range may be induced to relax the mind into an awareness state receptive to autosuggestion and suggestive programming. This is the state of consciousness the authors utilize in conjunction with their behavioral modification script tape exampled earlier in this section.
  • A low to mid-theta range state will enable you to experience vivid mental imagery and stimulate creative energy.
  • A low-alpha to low-theta state will lead the mind on a euphoric journey into deep relaxation that helps to relieve stress and anxiety.
  • A low delta state will induce the mind into a deep state of consciousness associated with meditation. You would just about have to be a Zen monk, who has devoted his life to the study of achieving this level of meditation, to enter and exit this deep of a meditational state within a 1- hour time frame.
